What to Include in a TV Structural Components RFQ

Clear engineering inputs help both sides identify the right tooling and manufacturing path before quotation.

KINGSUN television metal back plate platform

A useful RFQ does more than name a product. It gives the engineering and manufacturing teams enough context to evaluate structure, tooling, process compatibility and production readiness.

1. Product and screen-size definition

State whether the requirement covers a metal back plate, molded rear housing, stand, bezel, cover, structural kit or tooling. Include the target screen size and the relationship between the requested part and the final assembly.

2. Drawings, samples and interfaces

Provide available 2D drawings, 3D files or physical samples. Highlight mounting points, speaker positions, connector openings, ventilation areas and interfaces that affect assembly fit.

3. Material and finish

Identify the expected sheet-metal grade or plastic material when known. For molded components, project inputs may include ABS, HIPS, PC or another defined resin. For metal parts, describe the required coating, appearance and corrosion considerations.

4. Tooling status

Explain whether the program should be evaluated against an existing shared platform or requires dedicated tooling. If tooling already exists, include its current status, location and available technical records.

5. Volume and timing

Share estimated sample quantity, pilot quantity, annual forecast and target production timing. These inputs help determine equipment matching, tooling strategy, process preparation and packaging planning.

6. Validation and delivery requirements

List the dimensions, appearance criteria, assembly checks, material controls, packaging requirements and destination-market needs that should be included in project validation.
